Cross-regional players such as Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau now need to migrate their account to the Riot multigame client. This transition brings new benefits, including:

Before starting, make sure you meet the following prerequisites:
1. Garena Account with Progress
Your Garena account should show activity, such as:
- Champion Mastery
- Ranked Game History
- Purchased Content (e.g. RP, skins or TFT Coins).
Without this, nothing can be transferred.
2. Riot Account with the Same Region
Your Riot and Garena accounts must be on the same server. For example, if your Garena account is set to Vietnam, then your Riot account should also be set to Vietnam. Not sure about your area? Check your fractions at Account Management settings of both platforms.

How to Transfer Garena to Riot Account
Transferring your account may sound complicated, but Riot makes the process seamless. Follow these steps to migrate without losing progress:
- Visit the Migration Page: Visit the Garena Riot Games Migration Page.
- Click “Link Your Account Now”: This will take you to the LeagueLink page.
- Log in to your Garena Account: Use your Garena credentials to access your account.
- Select your Garena/TFT League Account: Make sure you choose the right account to transfer.
- Login or Create a Riot Account: If you don’t have one yet, you need to register.
- Review Your Data: Riot will show you what is transferred.
- Complete the Migration: Hit “Link Account,” and you’re all set!

What Happens to Your Data Post Migration?
When you transfer your Garena account, most of your hard-earned progress and cosmetic content will carry over. However, some items may be overwritten or reset. Here’s what stays, merges, or resets:

- Champion: All unlocked champions will remain with you.
- Emotes, TFT Pads and Icons: These items are stored in their entirety.

OOverwritten items
- Caller Name: Your Garena name will overwrite your Riot name if you play at least one match between January 1, 2021 and January 6, 2023.
- Friends List: Your Garena friends list replaces your Riot friends list but only includes migrated friends.
- Champion Mastery, Honor, Challenge: This statistic overrides the Riot account value.
Reset Items
- LP Rankings and History: Your ranking will be reset, giving you a clean slate.
- Mission Progression and Battle Pass: This will be reset during migration.
Notes: Garena Shells cannot be converted into Riot Points, but can still be used for other Garena games.
