The PS6 may be closer than you think, and it’s not coming alone

Just when things were starting to feel quiet on the PlayStation front, a new wave of leaks caused a stir again. There’s been talk around the PlayStation 6, the next generation of handhelds, and even some behind-the-scenes changes that hint at how Sony is preparing for the future.

Of course, this isn’t official, but even if some of it remains, Sony isn’t just building new hardware, it’s also laying the groundwork for how that hardware will actually work.

What exactly is the content of the latest PlayStation leak?

According to a trusted leaker Moore’s Law Is DeadThe biggest headlines are surrounding the PlayStation 6, which may not be as far along as expected. Early details suggest that Sony is well into the development phase, with a schedule that suggests a closer launch time than a typical console cycle.

But that’s only part of the story. Along with chatter about the PS6, there’s new talk about a PlayStation-only handheld. Unlike the PlayStation Portal which is more of a remote gaming device, this new handheld device will reportedly be a standalone system capable of running games natively. Think of it as the new PSP or PS Vita.

Another interesting detail is around “PlayGo”, which has reportedly been introduced in the latest PS5 SDK. Think of it as Sony’s version of Xbox Smart Delivery. This allows developers to break games down into smaller chunks, so that each device only downloads the assets it really needs. This means that the standard PS5 won’t need to download the higher resolution textures intended for the PS5 Pro, and chances are, future devices could follow the same logic.

The PS6 price leak sounds surprising… makes sense

According to MLIDnow might not be the best time to shell out $900 for a PS5 Pro. These claims are pretty bold, but they suggest skipping the current-gen upgrade and waiting, as the base version of the PlayStation 6 could actually be cheaper than the PS5 Pro. The reason? Sony reportedly designed the PS6 from the ground up to be more cost-effective, with cheaper cooling, power delivery and overall manufacturing.

In fact, some estimates even put the bill of materials at around $750, which could keep the final price under $1,000. That’s actually pretty cheap, compared to Microsoft’s upcoming Project Helix, which can top $1200. After all, these are still early leaks and far from official leaks, so it’s worth taking all this with a pinch of salt for now.

PakarPBN

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
